'I tried to work like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli', Jos Buttler made a big revelation after the match-winning innings

On Tuesday, Jos Buttler overshadowed Sunil Narine's century and gave Rajasthan Royals a record win. Rajasthan Royals chased the joint-highest target in IPL history against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rajasthan Royals team, which came to chase the target of 224 runs, was struggling at one time by scoring 121/6. However, Butler did not lose courage and batted till the end to give his team a memorable victory at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Rajasthan Royals equaled their four-year-old record. In 2020, Rajasthan Royals successfully chased the target of 224 runs against Kings XI Punjab in Sharjah. Butler scored his second century in the current season. Butler was struggling on the field due to cramps.

However, he remained firm on the crease and surpassed Chris Gayle to become second in terms of scoring most centuries in the IPL. Butler was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant innings. After receiving the award, Butler said that it was important to believe in oneself and this was the main thing of this match.

Status of the points table

There was no change in the points table of IPL 2024 after the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. Rajasthan Royals team is on top with 12 points. Whereas the Kolkata Knight Riders team remains in second position with 8 points. Chennai and Hyderabad are stuck at third and fourth positions respectively.
