After the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in both the houses, many politicians have come out in opposition to it. Meanwhile, Shaista Ambar, President of All India Women Muslim Personal Law Board, has supported the Waqf Bill 2025. He said- We welcome this bill.

This will protect the interests of Muslim society, especially Muslim women. It is a historic step towards empowering women. This bill is not just an amendment to the law, but a historic step.

Society will get the benefit.

Shaista Ambar said-

The new Waqf law will benefit the society. The participation of Muslim women will be strengthened. It is the beginning of giving a new direction to rights, dignity and respect. The government has said that it will remove the encroachment on Waqf land.

We were fighting a long battle to include Muslim women in the Waqf Board and Central Waqf Council. Earlier, a demand was made to former President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil.

Shaista Ambar further said-

"Women should get a place as members and officers of the Waqf Board. They should not be kept just for name, but for work. Women's responsibility and jurisdiction should be ensured."

Expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister

Shaista Ambar said- To date no government has done real work for the Muslim community. Everyone has only done vote bank politics. The All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board expresses gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for this bill. Keeping in mind the development of Muslim women, this bill was presented and it took legal form.

'Waqf properties will be protected'

The government has assured the Muslim community in both houses that the promises made to the public and the Muslim community will be fulfilled. We are hopeful that this bill will protect the Waqf properties. The poor children, widowed women of the minority community, and all the needy people will get financial assistance.
