The Allahabad High Court has expressed concern over the rising corona infection and an increase in the number of deaths from it. The court said that the government had promised to take steps to prevent infection by presenting a roadmap, but the district administration failed to control the wanderers without the necessary work, those who crowded the tea-shop. Police imposed fines and cut invoices on those who put on masks and those who did not follow social distancing, yet people are not caring about life. The court said that if you want to between bread butter and life, then life is more important. The government should take concrete steps to stop the spread of infection.
Everything has to be closed in the selected way so that people do not leave without needless:
Because of the increasing infection of the coronavirus despite all measures, the court said that in our opinion, no less than lockdown would be effective in preventing infection. As a result, we have to shut everything down in a selective manner so that the people who are needlessly moving out are forced to stay inside their homes. This order has been given by a division bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Ajit Kumar on a PIL to improve the condition of quarantine centers and hospitals. The court said that due to a lack of security forces, police patrolling cannot be done in every street. People should live in their own homes. Exit only when necessary work is done.
What action was taken against the officials who failed to implement the action plan:
The court has directed the Chief Secretary to file an affidavit on August 28 along with the road map and action report. They have also asked whether an action plan to prevent corona infection was prepared to unlock the economy after lockdown. If there was a plan then why it was not implemented properly. The court said that it was clear from the orders issued by the government from time to time that there was no central plan. The court has also asked the chief secretary to explain what action was taken against the officials who failed to implement the action plan. The court has directed the Chief Secretary to present the complete information sought.
