External Affairs Minister Jaishankar's target on western countries: Said on India-Russia relation - Our relationship is from when western countries did not give arms to India

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is on a tour of Australia. During this, he targeted western countries for supplying arms to Pakistan.

 

Jaishankar was holding a press conference with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong. During that time he was questioned about the relations between India and Russia. In response, he said- India-Russia relations and defense relations are very old. Our relationship dates back to when western countries started giving arms to Pakistan instead of India. Western countries chose a military dictator (Pakistan) as their preferred partner and did not give arms to India for decades.

 

Jaishankar has raised questions about US-Pak relationship

On September 8, the US approved $ 450 million, i.e. 3,581 million to Pakistan for the maintenance of the F-16 fighter jet. On this, Jaishankar had said – The relationship between America and Pakistan has never benefited Pakistan or America. Now the US should reflect on what the US is getting by maintaining relations with Pakistan.

 

Jaishankar gave a special thing to the Deputy PM of Australia

Jaishankar gifted Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles a bat signed by former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. Expressing happiness over this, Marles said – There are many such things, which make us people one. Including cricket.

 

Australia's old Parliament House seen in tricolor

S Jaishankar reached Australia on 10 October. To welcome him, the old Parliament House of Australia was lit in the light of the tricolor. On this he said – Welcome with the tricolor in Canberra. Glad to see the old Australian Parliament building in the colors of our national flag.

 

India's old cooperation with Russia in the field of defense

 

In 2018, India signed a $5.4 billion deal to buy five S-400 air defense systems from Russia.

 

India and Russia also signed a deal to manufacture 5 lakh AK-203 rifles at Korwa Defense Factory in Amethi. Out of the rifles received by the Indian Army, parts of 70 thousand rifles will be manufactured in Russia.

 

India has signed a deal to take the Akula class nuclear submarine from Russia on a 10-year lease. It is known as Chakra-3 in India. Russia will hand it over to the Indian Navy in 2025.
