First death in the country due to monkeypox: Virus found in second investigation report of Kerala youth, 20 people quarantined

Scary facts have come to the fore in the death of a young man suspected of monkeypox in Thrissur, Kerala. After the death of the young man, his investigation report has come out. According to sources, monkeypox has been confirmed in the deceased. Since then, there has been a stir in the health department.

 

 

A 22-year-old man died in Thrissur, Kerala on Saturday. The deceased was found to have symptoms of monkeypox and had recently returned to India after traveling to the United Arab Emirates.

 

 

Monkeypox was confirmed before coming to India

 

The youth was screened in UAE before coming to India. He was confirmed to have monkeypox. The youth reached India on 22 July. He was admitted to the hospital on July 27. After the death of the young man on Saturday, his family members submitted the report of the investigation conducted in the UAE to the hospital, after which the department was shocked. After this, samples of the young man were taken again.

 

Late hospitalization will also be investigated

 

Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that it will be investigated as to what was the reason behind the young man being admitted to the hospital after returning from UAE on July 21.

 

Quarantine is done on 20 people

 

Rajini, a member of the Education and Health Standing Committee, said that the deceased was in direct contact with 10 people including family members and some friends. So far 20 people have been quarantined in this case. The situation is completely under control and there is nothing to panic about, he said. Meanwhile, members of the Punnayur gram panchayat convened a meeting to discuss the situation after the death of a youth infected with monkeypox.

 

These are the symptoms

 

According to the World Health Organization, the symptoms of monkeypox begin to appear within 6 to 13 days. Although sometimes it can take 5 to 21 days. If infected, symptoms like fever, headache, fatigue, and back pain appear within the next 5 days. The skin rash starts appearing within three days of fever. Monkeypox may be spreading like Corona but it is not as deadly as Kovid. Do not panic if you see the symptoms of monkeypox.
