New Delhi, Jan 19 (IANS) It was a foggy Monday morning in Delhi with the visibility dropping to less than 50 metres, delaying nearly 60 trains.
The Met Office, however, forecast a clear day ahead.
According to an official of the Northern Railway, around 60 trains coming to the city were delayed while the departure time of nine trains was rescheduled.
"There was dense fog in the morning, but the sky during the day will be mainly clear," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The day's minimum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 9.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 21 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 97 percent.
Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded at 21.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 6.4 degrees Celsius.
