Refused to accept WHO's advice on hydroxychloroquine

The WHO has suspected the use of the drug Hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of corona virus. It is also said that this drug is not safe for the treatment of corona virus. But this time India has adopted its tough stand. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) stated that studies in India have not revealed any major side effects of the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and may continue to be used under strict medical supervision in precautionary treatment of Covid-19 .

 

Conflict may increase further

An official of the Union Health Ministry associated with the case says that the WHO guidelines have proved to be wrong in many cases for the last five months. For this reason, now India has decided to find a cure for itself instead of working on the advice or instructions of any other organization. The Government of India now wants to rely only on its investigation and research to deal with the corona virus. At present, the ministry has refused to accept the WHO recommendation only in the hydroxychloroquine case. But in the coming years, differences with the WHO can come in many cases.

 

Balaram Bhargava, director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), said, 'Covid-19 is a disease about which information is slowly coming out and we do not know which medicine is working and which medicine works. Is not doing Many medicines are being prescribed for use for Covid-19, whether it is for prevention or treatment.

 

It is worth mentioning that the US has considered hydroxychloroquine, a malaria drug prepared in India, to be the most effective against the corona virus. Recently, the US President also said that many Americans have completely recovered from the use of this drug. In such a case, it is legitimate to question the WHO's new guidelines. (language input)
