John F Kennedy

 

John F Kennedy, who was the 35th President of America, is still remembered today because of his many merits. Kennedy, who was elected president at the age of 43, is known as the second-youngest President of America.

 

In 1963, Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, USA, when he was traveling in an open car. The former Marine who shot Kennedy was Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald was arrested by the police, but two days later Oswald was also killed by a Kennedy supporter. This incident caused panic in America and all over the world.

 

Indira Gandhi

 

Beant Singh and Satwant Singh, two bodyguards of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, shot and killed her on 31 October 1984. Both of them were reportedly upset with Indira's 'Operation Blue Star'. A third person was also involved in this murder, whose name was Kehar Singh. Kehar, however, was not involved in the shooting of Indira but was found guilty of plotting the murder.

 

Beant Singh was gunned down by his security personnel after he opened fire on Indira. Hundreds of people were killed in the 'Operation Blue Star' conducted by Indira with the help of the army against Khalistani terrorists in the Golden Temple, the holy site of Sikhs.

 

Rajiv Gandhi

 

Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India, was assassinated in a suicide attack on 21 May 1991. He sent peacekeeping forces to Sri Lanka during his tenure. Because of this, the Tamil rebel organization LTTE, ie Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, was angry with him. In 1991, when Rajiv Gandhi went to Sriperumbudur near Chennai to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, there was a suicide attack on Rajiv by the LTTE.

 

On the pretext of wearing a flower necklace to Rajiv, LTTE's female terrorist Dhanu (Tenmoji Rajaratnam) stepped forward. He touched Rajiv's feet and bent down and detonated explosives tied on his waist. The explosion was so strong that many people were blown to pieces. 16 people including Rajiv and attacker Dhanu died on the spot, while 45 people were seriously injured.

 

Abraham Lincoln

 

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President, was assassinated in 1865. At that time he was watching the play 'Our American Cousin' at the Ford Theater in Washington. Lincoln's security guard John Parker, who was sitting on the balcony at the time of the incident, was not with him at that time.

 

The shooter, John Wikes Booth, was a professional dramatist. Seeing the opportunity at 10.15 pm, John shot Lincoln in the head from behind. Lincoln was taken to the hospital, where he died the next morning, that is, on April 15. John Wikes Booth, who shot Lincoln, was killed in a gunfight ten days later by American soldiers.

 

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

 

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the first President of Bangladesh to break away from Pakistan. He led the fight against Pakistan and liberated Bangladesh. He was popularly known as Sheikh Mujib. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family were assassinated on 15 August 1975.

 

Both his daughters survived the attack as they were not present in Bangladesh. At present, Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, is the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

 

Liaquat Ali Khan

 

Born in Karnal, India, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated on 16 October 1951 in Rawalpindi. Liaquat Ali Khan was addressing a gathering at Company Bagh in Rawalpindi before the murder.

 

The name of the person who opened fire on Liaquat Ali Khan was Saeed Akbar Khan Babarakzai. The place from where he fired at Liaquat Ali Khan was reserved for intelligence officers. It has not been revealed to date as to who had made the killer sit at that place. This murder remains a secret even today.

 

Benazir Bhutto

 

Pakistan's first female Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on the evening of December 27, 2007. Benazir was the first woman to head any Muslim country. Benazir Bhutto was returning from Rawalpindi after addressing an election rally on the evening of the assassination. Then the attacker came near Benazir's car and shot him. Later he also blew himself up.

 

Along with Bhutto, 20 of his party workers also lost their lives and more than 71 people were seriously injured. The case related to the assassination of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan is still pending in the Lahore High Court. The question remains as to who is behind the murder, and on whose behest Bhutto was killed.

 

Ranasinghe Premadasa

 

Ranasinghe Premadasa was the third President of Sri Lanka. On 1 May 1993, he was assassinated by a suicide bomber of the terrorist organization LTTE at a May Day rally in Colombo. After the assassination of Premadasa, there was a direct fight between the Sri Lankan army and the LTTE, which lasted for 26 years and in which 70 thousand lives were lost.

 

Mahatma Gandhi

 

On 30 January 1948, Mahatma Gandhi's day in Delhi started like a normal day. Gandhiji, who was often on time for the prayer meeting of Birla House, was a little late that day. When he reached Birla House, he greeted the crowd with folded hands.

 

Then Nathuram Godse leaned towards him from the left side and he took out the pistol and dropped three bullets one after the other into Gandhiji's chest and stomach. Dr. King delivered the "I Have a Dream" speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington in 1963. The speech became a symbol of the American Civil Rights Movement and is one of the most memorable speeches in recorded history.

 

the royal family of Nepal

 

On 1 June 2001, Nepal's Crown Prince Dipendra Shah killed nine members of his royal family. Among those who died were his father Raja Birendra, mother Rani Aishwarya, and 7 more members of the royal family. After killing the family members, Dipendra shot himself too.

 

Dipendra wanted to marry Princess Devyani Rana, but the royal family was not ready for this relationship. Enraged on this matter, Deependra killed everyone.

 

Francis Ferdinand

 

The First World War started on 28 July 1914. Prince Francis Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated in Serbia. Enraged by this, Austria, along with Hungary, attacked Serbia. The war that started here gradually engulfed half the world.

 

However, this was only the immediate cause of the start of World War I. Apart from this, there were many reasons which became the reason for the First World War. Agreements and treaties between European countries were also a reason for this.
