
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has once again raised the issue of alleged vote theft. He stated that Aland, a constituency in Karnataka, attempted to delete 6,018 votes.
Rahul Gandhi said, "We don't know how many votes were deleted in Aland in the 2023 elections. The number is much higher than 6,018, but someone was caught deleting those 6,018 votes, and it was a coincidence."
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the Chief Election Commissioner is protecting those involved in vote theft. Furthermore, the Congress leader alleged that numerous names were added to the voter list in Maharashtra. Following these allegations, the Election Commission has now responded.
What did the Election Commission say in its response?
The Election Commission has dismissed Rahul Gandhi's allegations as baseless. The Commission stated that Rahul's allegations are baseless and false. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said, "Votes can never be deleted online." The Election Commission itself lodged an FIR in Aland over the attempt to cut votes."
