Garud commandos of Air Force deployed on the China border from Ladakh to Arunachal, capable of all types of operations

The Garud commandos of the Indian Air Force, which have proven their mettle in anti-terrorist operations and airport security in the Kashmir Valley, have been deployed at high-altitude locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAAC) with China since May 2020. The Indian Air Force has also equipped them with the latest weapons like the American Sig Sauer assault rifle along with the latest AK-103 assault rifle.

 

Garuda's guard on LAC

Indian Air Force officials said that the Garuda Special Forces are deployed in border areas along the China border from eastern Ladakh to Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. If needed, they are capable of running any kind of campaign. According to military officials, the deployment of these troops on the LAC dates back to 2020, when the Indian Air Force made full preparations to give a befitting reply to the Chinese aggression in the region.

 

Garud commandos with special weapons

A team from the news agency ANI, while visiting the Garuda Regimental Training Centre, saw the new weapons and equipment being provided by the Air Force to its Garuda commandos. These included the latest weapons such as Sig Sauer, AK-series assault rifles and Israeli Taver rifles, etc. The soldiers also have Galil sniper rifles as well as Negev light machine guns that can take down enemy soldiers from a range of 800-1000 meters.

 

The operation was carried out in Kashmir

Let us tell you that Garuda used Negev LMG in the famous Blood Hajin operation in Jammu and Kashmir. That Garuda team had killed five terrorists. Corporal Jyoti Prakash Nirala was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra.
