New Delhi, March 26 (IANS) A coalition of civil society organisations Wednesday put forward a 14-point "people's manifesto" to the political parties, demanding accessible healthcare and repeal of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, among others.
The manifesto that lays emphasis on public healthcare so it is easily accessible to all would be formally released in the capital Thursday.
Children have asked for six percent of gross domestic product allocate to education, women has demanded passing the Women Reservation's Bill while the LGBT community has called for repeal of Section 377 of the IPC which criminalises homosexuality.
Paul Divakar, national convenor of "Wada Na Todo Campaign" - the umbrella platform of over 4,000 civil society organisations told IANS that they have called on the Congress, Left parties, the BJP and the AAP among others and handed them the "people's manifesto".
