Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has started preparations for the Gujarat Assembly to be held this year. On Tuesday, when he reached the world-famous Jyotirlinga Somnath temple in Gujarat, he appeared in a new form. He was wearing a tripunda on his head and a rosary of Rudraksha around his neck.

Talking to the media outside the temple after visiting the Somnath temple, the AAP chief said, "There is a lot of peace here. I prayed for the progress of the country, for the progress of Gujarat, for the happiness and peace of the entire countrymen, and the happiness and peace of the country. May everyone prosper, and may everyone be happy. May everyone be healthy. Our country should become the number one country in the world.

Only devotion in the temple, not politics

When media persons questioned the Delhi CM about the deaths due to poisonous liquor in Botad, Gujarat, Kejriwal said with folded hands, 'I am in the temple now. We will meet many times and will talk in Rajkot. Will not talk about politics in the temple. Have come here only for devotion. Will talk about politics throughout the day. However, when journalists repeatedly talked about the issue of illicit liquor, he said, 'It is a very sad incident. More than 20 people have died. May his soul rest in peace.'

From Somnath, Kejriwal left for Rajkot. There he has a meeting with the merchants. The AAP issued a statement saying that Kejriwal will also visit the hospital in Bhavnagar and meet people who are sick after consuming adulterated liquor admitted there.

Earlier on Monday, Kejriwal had termed the deaths due to consumption of spurious liquor as unfortunate and alleged that people were selling liquor illegally in the state, due to political patronage. While demanding a probe into the liquor scandal, he had also demanded to investigate the earnings of people associated with the illegal liquor business.
