Haldwani Violence: Stones, blood and distraught people on the road... voices of shouting and saving, horrifying picture of the chaos came to the fore.

The gateway to Kumaon i.e. our Haldwani. The atmosphere of Haldwani City, named after the abundant trees of Haldu, has been calm. The valleys here give peace and happiness. This city embraces everyone who comes from outside. What happened suddenly on Thursday, due to which the peace of this city was disturbed. Who took away the peace and happiness of the calm nature?

 

This question is both from the government system and also from the local miscreants of Banbhulpura. Due to this, the city saw stones, blood, and misery on the roads today. Perhaps this was the first time since the eighties that a horrifying scene was seen on the streets. Where there was an orgy of rain of stones everywhere for several hours. The people of the entire city were in panic due to the flames and sound of bullets.

 

The picture of the orgy was that six people died due to stone pelting and firing and more than 300 people were injured. From police to journalists and common people are injured. This violence has left a wound and scar on the city that will take many years to heal. Everyone needs to know that this incident was not at all a matter of communal tension. This is purely a matter of law and order, which the police and administration completely failed to assess.

 

The issue of the demolition of illegal religious places in Banbhulpura was directly related to the administration. What kind of reaction can happen at the local level if it is broken? Administrative officials did not assess this properly. The result of which was that the city saw an orgy on the streets. An atmosphere of fear was seen everywhere.

 

Sounds of shouting and rescue were heard. The police intelligence agency was either slow in giving accurate information or if the information was available, the team was sent to the spot without any preparation. Questions are being raised on the entire system regarding this also.

 

The inexperience of the district bureaucracy was visible. Dehradun was not even informed on time that the situation in Haldwani had gone out of control. what should we do?

 

As soon as Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami got the information from any other source, he left his meeting midway and called an emergency meeting of the Chief Secretary and DGP and kept a close eye on the entire matter.
