Hand on PM Modi's back and 'missing' from I.N.D.I.A's press conference, will Sharad Pawar give a blow to opposition unity?

To defeat the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024, all the opposition parties together have formed the INDIA alliance. Apart from the Congress, the alliance includes major parties like the Aam Aadmi Party, NCP, SP, DMK, and TMC. The leaders of INDIA are besieging the Modi government at the Center on all issues.

 

Recently the leaders of INDIA visited the state regarding the ongoing violence in Manipur and took stock of the situation. Opposition leaders met President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday after visiting Manipur and submitted a memorandum to him. Several leaders of INDIA including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, AAP leader Sanjay Singh, and SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav were present during the meeting with the President.

 

During the meeting with the President, the opposition leaders sought his immediate intervention to restore peace and harmony in Manipur without delay. At the same time, he demanded the President direct PM Modi to make a statement in Parliament on the Manipur issue and to visit Manipur immediately for the restoration of peace. During this meeting, the leaders of the opposition parties appeared united, but during the press conference held after the meeting, something happened which was not expected by the INDIA leaders.

 

Sharad Pawar got screwed!

Kharge was addressing reporters after meeting the President. Many leaders of INDIA were present at this press conference, but Sharad Pawar was absent. The Congress President started looking around, he felt that Sharad Pawar must have come, but Sharad Pawar did not come to the PC. However, he was with the delegation during the meeting with the President.

 

Will Pawar shock INDIA?

Sharad Pawar shared the stage with PM Modi during an event in Pune. During this, Modi and Pawar met warmly. When Modi came to meet him, Pawar met him smilingly and also put his hand on the PM's back. Many political meanings are being extracted from the meeting of Modi and Pawar.

 

What did Kharge say in the press conference?

The Congress President said that on our demands and memorandum, the President said that she would look into it. We told the President that accountability should be fixed for the devastation of the last 92 days. More than 5,000 houses have been burnt in Manipur, and more than 200 people have died. More than 60 thousand people have been displaced. Atrocities are happening to women, but till now the Prime Minister has neither gone to Manipur nor spoken about it. The Prime Minister should go to Manipur.
