Haryana Election: Brijendra will contest against Dushyant, Anirudh will contest against Shruti; Congress changed candidates on 6 seats

Congress has released its second list of candidates for the assembly elections to be held on October 5 in Haryana. It contains the names of nine candidates. So far, Congress has decided its candidates for 41 assembly seats. Caste-wise, 12 Jats, 9 SCs, 9 OBCs, 4 Punjabis, 3 Brahmins, 3 Muslims, and one Sikh are included in the Congress's list of 41. BJP has declared candidates on 67 seats.

 

Brijendra in the fray against Dushyant in Uchana

 

Now in Sunday's list, Congress has once again expressed confidence in former assembly speaker and former minister Ashok Arora from Thanesar. Former MP from Hisar Brijendra Singh has been given the ticket from Uchana seat. Brijendra Singh is the son of former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh.

 

Former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala is contesting on the Jannayak Janata Party ticket in Uchana. There has been tension between Birendra Singh and Dushyant Chautala for a long time. Now the contest for this seat has become interesting.

 

Sukhbir Kataria's ticket cancelled from Gurugram

 

Congress has canceled the ticket of former minister Sukhbir Kataria from the Gurugram seat and given a ticket to Mohit Grover. Congress has earlier released a list of 32 candidates. The number of Congress candidates has now reached 41.

 

Congress is gradually announcing its candidates for the 90-member assembly. It fears that releasing the list all at once may create discontent among the other claimants who have been denied tickets.

 

Congress changed candidates on six seats

 

In the second list released late Sunday night, Congress has changed candidates on six seats. Congress has given a ticket to former assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma again on the Ganaur assembly seat. In Badshahpur, the BJP has given a ticket to former PWD minister Rao Narbir.

 

Independent MLA late Rakesh Daulatabad's wife Kumudni Daulatabad was also in the news for becoming a Congress candidate, but now it is believed that Kumudni will contest the election as an independent like her husband.

 

Who will take over Bansi Lal's legacy... now it will be decided in Tosham

 

On the Tosham assembly seat of Bhiwani district, Congress has fielded Anirudh Chaudhary, grandson of former Chief Minister late Bansi Lal, who had led the state four times, and son of former Cricket Control Board President Ranbir Mahendra.

 

Kiran Chaudhary has been contesting elections from this seat. Kiran is now in the BJP. BJP has sent her to Rajya Sabha. BJP has fielded Kiran Chaudhary's former MP daughter Shruti Chaudhary from Tosham. Now the contest here will be between this brother-sister pair of Bansi Lal family, Anirudh Chaudhary and Shruti Chaudhary.
