Maharashtra CM: 'Maratha community wants to see Shinde as CM', claims Shiv Sena leader amid suspense over Chief Minister

Meanwhile, a Shiv Sena leader said that the Maratha community wants Eknath Shinde to remain in the post of Chief Minister. Party spokesperson Sheetal Mhatre, while talking to reporters, said that given the upcoming elections of local bodies in the state, he should remain in the post of CM. Sheetal Mhatre said, "Shinde has successfully provided a 10 percent reservation to Maratha reservation. Along with this, he helped the community through Annasaheb Patil and Sarathi Nigams." He claimed that this community stood with Mahayuti in the elections. Shiv Sena spokesperson said, "The demand that the Chief Minister should be from the Maratha community is now gaining momentum."
