According to the Meteorological Department, under the influence of an active Western Disturbance, cloudy skies and the possibility of light rain or drizzle are expected during the early days of the week.
In several areas, strong winds—accompanied by thunder and lightning—may blow at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, with gusts potentially reaching up to 50 km/h.
Maximum Temperatures to Drop Over the Next Two Days
Experts state that over the next two days, the maximum temperature could register a decline of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. Following this, temperatures are likely to rise by 3 to 5 degrees over the subsequent three to four days.
Weather Trends During the Week
Initial Relief: On March 30 and 31, cloudy skies, light rain, and strong winds may offer some respite from the heat.
Heat to Intensify in Early April: On April 1 and 2, as the weather remains relatively clear, temperatures will begin to rise, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius.
Another Change Towards Week’s End: On April 3 and 4, under the influence of another Western Disturbance, cloudy skies and light rainfall are once again likely, which may lead to a slight dip in temperatures.
Heatwave Outlook
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no likelihood of a heatwave or Loo conditions prevailing in Delhi-NCR throughout this entire week. While maximum temperatures may hover around 37 degrees Celsius, this will not fall under the category of a heatwave.
Over the coming week, the weather pattern in Delhi-NCR is expected to remain constantly shifting—at times offering relief through clouds and light rain, and at other times bringing a sense of heat as temperatures rise.
