In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Army destroyed the terrorist hideouts by conducting air strikes in Pakistan and PoK. This operation was named 'Operation Sindoor'. Now Congress leader Rashid Alvi has raised questions about this operation.
Rashid Alvi raised questions.
Raising questions, the Congress leader asked whether all the terrorists were killed in this operation. He said that if this has happened then it is good. Alvi stressed that whatever the Indian government had told the army, they did the same.
Speaking to the news agency ANI, Rashid Alvi said, "Better answers need to be given than this, this is the minimum. Our army did what the Indian government told them to do, but the question arises again whether every terrorist was killed? Will there not be another Pahalgam?"
Alvi's statement is different from Congress leaders.
He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the remaining land of the terrorists will be destroyed. If this has happened, then it is good. However, while the Congress high command has welcomed the air strike, Alvi's statement is completely different from the statements of many top leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Mallikarjun Kharge's statement
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said about Operation Sindoor, "India has an unwavering national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are very proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK."
He said we appreciate their determination and courage. Since the day of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian National Congress has stood with the armed forces and the government to take any decisive action against cross-border terrorism. National unity and solidarity is the need of the hour and the Indian National Congress stands with our armed forces. Our leaders have shown the way in the past and for us national interest is supreme."
9 terror camps targeted
The Indian armed forces successfully attacked 9 terror camps using special weapons under Operation Sindoor, destroying four terror camps in Pakistan including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK).
The Indian Army, Navy and Air Force jointly carried out the operation, involving the army and the armed forces. Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept a close watch on Operation Sindoor throughout the night.
