Indian cricketer Akashdeep Singh was delivered a Fortuner vehicle without registration and a High Security Registration Plate (HSRP). The Transport Department has issued a show-cause notice to the dealer, terming it as negligence and a violation of the rules.

An Innova vehicle was also delivered without registration from the Amausi showroom of M/s Sunny Motors Private Limited. The ARTO caught the vehicle during inspection. The Transport Department has suspended the dealer's trade license for one month.

The car may be confiscated.

The Transport Department has issued a notice to the car owner, cricketer Akashdeep Singh, to stop using the vehicle under sections 39, 41(6), and 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988. Instructions have been given that the vehicle should not be driven on the road until all legal formalities are completed. In case of violation, the vehicle will be seized and legal action will be taken.

Strict action has been taken against violations of vehicle delivery rules for road safety. In the capital, M/s Sunny Motors Private Limited has two trade certificates in Amausi and Chinhat. Toyota Fortuner was sold to cricketer Akashdeep Singh from Chinhat showroom on August 7. Vehicle insurance was done on August 8, but road tax, etc., was not deposited.

Reply will have to be given in 14 days.

Delivery was done without completing the registration process. In this case, a show-cause notice has been issued to the dealer, and a reply has been sought within 14 days. Similarly, Innova was delivered from the Hazratganj showroom of Amausi dealership without completing the registration process.

On January 3, ARTO enforcement Rajiv Kumar Bansal caught it on Shaheed Path while carrying passengers and got it locked up in the Sushant Golf City police station. In the departmental investigation, it was found that the vehicle was delivered from the Hazratganj showroom without registration, which is a violation of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules. The trade certificate of Amausi dealership has been suspended for one month.

Public safety is most important.

No vehicle sale, registration, or delivery of any kind will be done during the suspension period. In case of violation during the suspension period, action will be taken to cancel the trade certificate. Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh has said that his priority is the safety of the public and to ensure compliance with rules on the road.

Zero tolerance will be adopted in such cases, and all actions will be taken within the ambit of law, in the public interest. On the other hand, Ravindra Kumar Gupta of Sunny Motors said, after the sale to Akashdeep on 7th, insurance, etc., was deposited, road tax would have been deposited on 9th August, but a special number was booked on the same day. Now everything has been deposited.

It is important to follow the rules because

Similarly, Innova was going to Sultanpur; its tax has been deposited. Now we will meet the Transport Commissioner and clarify the situation. That is why action was taken, Transport Commissioner said, the actions of celebrities and public figures have a wide impact on society.

If they violate the rules, then it sends a wrong message to the general public, and the culture of rule compliance weakens. For this reason, the department has taken quick and strict steps so that no person or institution is above the law.
