Amidst the LPG crisis, demand for PNG connections in Delhi doubles; IGL asserts there are no disruptions to gas supply in households.

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the company supplying natural gas, has provided a major assurance regarding Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The company has stated that it will ensure there are no disruptions whatsoever in the supply of domestic PNG and CNG at petrol pumps.

Meanwhile, an IGL official revealed that, amidst the current circumstances, the volume of requests received by IGL for new PNG connections has doubled.

 

 

Consequently, IGL is currently installing over a thousand new connections daily. IGL currently serves more than 1.9 million domestic connections in Delhi.

 

 

20% Reduction in Commercial Supply

According to the official, in compliance with government orders, the supply of gas to commercial establishments and industries has been curtailed by 20 percent; however, the supply to households will remain uninterrupted.

 

 

The company noted that, in accordance with the Natural Gas (Regulation of Supply) Order issued on March 9, the supply of domestic PNG and CNG has been accorded high priority.

 

 

No Disruption Expected in CNG Supply Either

In light of this, we wish to provide an assurance regarding the uninterrupted supply of domestic PNG for cooking purposes in homes, as well as CNG for public transport and private vehicles. IGL further added that its commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and customer service lies at the very core of every endeavor it undertakes.
