'Holi is against Sharia': Mohammed Shami's daughter played Holi, Maulana got angry, and said- 'Don't make fun of Sharia, it is a crime'

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat, has strongly objected to cricketer Mohammed Shami's daughter playing Holi and called it illegal and against Sharia. He said that she was a small girl. If she plays Holi without understanding, then it is not a crime. If she is sensible and still plays Holi, then it will be considered against Sharia.

 

Shami sinned by not fasting in Ramadan.

 

He took a dig at Shami and said that first Mohammed Shami sinned by not fasting in Ramadan and now his daughter is playing Holi. Razvi said that he had earlier also advised Shami to follow the principles of Islam. Despite this, a video of his daughter celebrating Holi was released.

 

Celebrating Holi is a crime.

 

Razvi said that I have appealed to Shami and his family members not to let their children do what is not in Sharia. Holi is a big festival for Hindus but Muslims should avoid celebrating Holi. If someone celebrates Holi even after knowing the Shariat, then it is a sin.

He also congratulated the Indian cricket team for the recent victory in the ICC Champions Trophy. He said that I wholeheartedly congratulate the captain of Team India, all the players and Mohammad Shami for their success.

 

Had attacked Shami earlier too

 

Let us tell you that earlier this month, Razvi had said that Shami had sinned by not fasting during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Razvi also instructed Shami to urge his family members not to disrespect the Shariat.

 

It is the responsibility of Muslims to follow the Shariat.

 

After Shami was seen drinking water from a bottle during the match against Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy on March 6, the Maulvi had said that he is a criminal in the eyes of the Shariat. He should not have done this at all. Razvi had said, it is the responsibility of all Muslims to follow the rules of the Shariat. Fasting is mandatory in Islam. If a person deliberately does not fast, he is considered a sinner according to Islamic law.

 

Shami should fulfill his responsibilities.

 

He said that playing cricket is not bad, but Mohammed Shami should fulfill his religious responsibilities. I advise Shami to follow the rules of Sharia and be responsible towards his religion.
