Foreign Minister S Jaishankar once again held "fruitful talks" with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the two leaders primarily focused on getting the economy back on track after the Covid-19 While discussing bilateral relations extensively.
Jaishankar arrived here on Sunday to promote bilateral economic cooperation. He has arrived in the UAE amid changing geopolitical developments in the region, particularly in Afghanistan. Jaishankar tweeted on Sunday, "There was once more fruitful dialogue with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on bilateral cooperation." We moved forward with the negotiations that started in February on this subject. During this period there was a special focus on bringing economic development back on track after Covid-19.

The UAE's official 'WAM Dialogue Committee reported that the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas to fulfill the leadership aspirations of India and the UAE and benefit the people. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the historical relationship between the two countries, saying that the strategic partnership between the UAE and India contributes to creating more opportunities for development in commercial, economic, cultural, and other areas.
The WAM said that the two leaders also discussed the recent developments related to Covid-19, both countries' efforts to deal with it, and global efforts to provide vaccines to all countries. She said that Sheikh Abdullah also praised the cooperation between the two countries to reduce the effects of the epidemic. Sheikh Abdullah went to New Delhi on 26 February and held talks with Jaishankar.
Earlier, Jaishankar had come to the UAE on a two-day visit on November 25 and 26 between the Covid-19 pandemic.
