'Humanity was shamed in Kolkata', Dhankhar indirectly told Mamata Banerjee

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has reached All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today. The Vice President and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha addressed the public during this time. He spoke on many issues during this time. He also spoke on the Kolkata murder case during this time. He said, that when humanity is ashamed, there are some stray voices, voices that cause concern. He also said, they only increase our unbearable pain.

 

The Vice President further said, to put it another way, such incidents are rubbing salt on our wounds. This is a symptomatic malaise, a recurring phenomenon.

 

'There can be no excuse for demonization'

The Vice President also said, that when it comes from someone who is a Member of Parliament, or a senior lawyer, the culpability is of extreme degree, there can be no excuse for such demonization. I call upon such misguided souls to reconsider their views and apologize publicly.

This is not an occasion when you should look through a political lens. This political prism is dangerous, it takes away your objectivity.
