'If Hindus are safe in UP, then Muslims are also safe' is, an important statement of CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured that people of all religions are safe in the state. He said that as a Yogi, he wishes for everyone's happiness. Speaking to ANI, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that if Hindus are safe, then Muslims are also safe in his state.

 

He said that a Muslim family will feel safe among 100 Hindu families. However, he questioned the possibility of 50 Hindu families being safe among 100 Muslim families.

 

Yogi said, "A Muslim family is the safest among 100 Hindu families. They will have the freedom to follow all their religious practices, but can 50 Hindus be safe among 100 Muslim families? No. Bangladesh is an example of this. Earlier Pakistan was an example of this. What happened in Afghanistan? If there is smoke or someone is getting hurt, we should be careful beforehand. This is what needs to be taken care of." He said that he treats everyone equally.

 

CM Yogi once again said that Muslims are the safest in Uttar Pradesh, stressing that communal riots have stopped in the state since the BJP came to power in 2017.

 

He said, "Muslims are the safest in Uttar Pradesh. If Hindus are safe, they are also safe. If there were riots in UP before 2017, if the shops of Hindus were burning, then the shops of Muslims were also burning. If the houses of Hindus were burning, then the houses of Muslims were also burning. And after 2017 the riots stopped." He said, "I am an ordinary citizen, a citizen of Uttar Pradesh and I am a Yogi, who wishes happiness for everyone. I believe in everyone's company and development." Describing Sanatan Dharma as the oldest religion in the world, CM Yogi said that there is no example in the world where Hindu rulers have used their power to establish dominance over others.

 

"Sanatan Dharma is the most ancient religion and culture in the world. You can guess from its name itself. The followers of Sanatan Dharma have not converted others to their religion. But what have they got in return? There is no example anywhere in the world where Hindu rulers have used their might to establish dominance over others. Such examples do not exist. Everyone has the same mentality that 'this is mine and that is someone else's', which is a product of narrow and limited intellect. On the contrary, for the followers of Sanatan Dharma, the whole world is one family, inspired by this universal feeling," he said.

 

Speaking about the law and order in the state during Ram Navami and Eid, Yogi said, "We sit with the administration from time to time and we have also prepared an SOP for this. Uttar Pradesh is the first state to control the noise coming from outside its territory as per the directions of the Supreme Court or to divert and control it through this communication."

 

Referring to the violence in West Bengal during Ram Navami last year, Yogi said, "If we can do this, why can't it happen in Bengal?" Speaking on the tarpaulin used to cover the mosque during Holi in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that there are strict instructions not to throw colors on the mosque, but colors harm anyone.

 

Yogi Adityanath said, "If you are playing with colors, it does not harm anyone's existence. You tell me. It is not so, rallies take place during Muharram. Doesn't the shadow of their flag fall on any Hindu house near the temple? Does it defile a Hindu house? These are strict instructions not to throw anything that does not have color on it. But still, if any color has fallen, the administration is cleaning it and painting it."
