R Ashwin called Rishabh Pant 'Inzamam of Pakistan' and gave great advice to crush England.

Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave a detailed analysis of the Indian team's five-wicket defeat in the first match of the five-match Test series at Leeds.

He said that India should focus on batting more time and Rishabh Pant should convert his centuries into double centuries against England's 'average' attack in the current Test series.

R Ashwin gave great advice to Rishabh Pant.

Ashwin said on his YouTube channel that one thing the Indian team's batting can focus on is whether you can increase the batting time in every innings - not according to the runs. Increase England's fielding time and also increase the time they keep on the field.

He said that I would say one thing, do not panic and do not make too many changes. India can level the series in the next Test. But if we do not understand England's strategy, then this series can go away from us very quickly.

Rishabh Pant compared to former Pakistan captain.

Praising Pant's two centuries in the match, Ashwin said that it is not fair to compare him with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, because Dhoni never batted at number five. He said that Rishabh Pant should be compared with players like Virat Kohli. He is the main batsman because he has a lot of time.

Ashwin compared Pant's ability to pick and hit the ball to Pakistan's great batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq. He said that some special batsmen have the ability to pick the ball quickly. They recognize the line quickly, recognize the length quickly and they get into great position. Rishabh Pant is one of those rare players who have this special skill.
