IIT-JEE will be conducted in other countries including America, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, China, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates. This year, about 3900 undergraduate and 1300 postgraduate seats are also being made available for NRIs and Indian and foreign nationals studying abroad. IIT institutes excluded from the scheme
According to the Union Education Ministry, under the DASA i.e. Direct Admission of Student Abroad Scheme, these students will be given admission to Indian higher educational institutions. These also include Triple IT and NIT. However, this system will not be applicable in IITs. At present, all the IITs in the country have been kept out of it.
15% seats will be provided
15 percent of the total seats will be provided for the scheme in NITs, IIITs, and centrally funded technical institutes by the Ministry of Education.
