He said that the biggest risk of cryptocurrencies is that they can be used for money laundering and terror financing. Cautioning all countries, he said that the only way to reduce the risk of cryptocurrencies is to create strict rules and regulations with the use of technology.

During this, the IMF strongly appreciated the economic policies of India. Christina Georgieva said that India's help in dealing with the biggest economic crisis in the history of Sri Lanka is commendable.
