IND vs AUS: Australian team announced for Test series against India, injured Green and Stark were also included in the team

Australia has announced an 18-member squad for the four-match Test series against India. Todd Murphy, 22, has also been included in the Australian squad for the Border-Gavaskar series. Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green have also been included in the Australian team. Both of these players are currently struggling with injuries. The Australian team management will hope that Starc and Cummins are fit in time. There is still about a month to go before the start of the Test series between Australia and India.

Off-spinner Murphy has made it into the team after a strong start to his first-class career. Ashton Agar and Mitchell Swepson have been included in the Australian team along with Nathan Lyon. However, Adam Zampa is not a part of the Kangaroo team.

Australia's chief selector George Bailey said that Murphy had done wonders in first-class cricket. He has done well for Sheffield Shield, Australia A, and President's XI. For this reason, he got a place in the main team in Australia. Bailey said, "Selection in this squad provides another opportunity to spend time with Nathan Lyon and assistant coach Daniel Vettori in India which will be invaluable to his development."

Uncapped pacer Lance Morris has retained his place in the team after the home tour of Australia. He has a chance to make his debut in the first Test in Nagpur. Mitchell Starc is injured and it is difficult for him to be fit to play the match before this Test.

Among batsmen, Peter Handscomb and Matt Renshaw have returned to the Kangaroo squad, while Marcus Harris has been ruled out. All-rounder Cameron Green has also been included in the Australian team, but he is also not fully fit. He was injured in the Boxing Day Test against South Africa.
