In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, fast bowler Akashdeep got a chance to debut. In the debut match, Akashdeep wreaked havoc with the ball and showed everyone his ability.
Akashdeep took a total of 10 wickets in the match (4/88 in the first innings and 6/99 in the second innings). His fast pace and ability to bowl at the right length stunned the British. Akashdeep played an important role in destroying the batting order of the English team.
