IND vs SA U19 Semi-Final: India defeats South Africa, gets ticket for World Cup final for the 9th time

The semi-final match of the Under 19 World Cup 2024 between India and South Africa was played on Tuesday. In this match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, South Africa scored 244 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs.

 

On behalf of South Africa (Ind U19 vs SA U19 Semi Final), wicketkeeper-batsman Luan Drie Pretorius' bat roared fiercely. He scored 76 runs in the match and was the top scorer. In response to this, there was a brilliant century partnership between Indian captain Uday Saharan and Sachin Das, and India won the match by 2 wickets. With this victory, India got the ticket to the final of the Under-19 World Cup for the fifth consecutive time.

Batting first, South Africa set a target of 245 runs for India in the semi-final match of the Under-19 World Cup 2024. South Africa also had a bad start. The team had lost two wickets for 46 runs. After this, wicketkeeper batsman Luan Dre Pretorius along with Richard made a partnership of 72 runs for the third wicket. Pretorius was able to score 76 runs in 102 balls with the help of 6 fours and three sixes.

 

IND U19 vs SA U19: India will face Sri Lanka in the final

Let us tell you that the Indian team had won all 5 matches in the Super-6 stage and after that got the ticket for the semi-finals. The South African team finished second in the Super 6 stage by winning 4 matches and also had to face defeat in the semi-final match.
