This week is going to prove to be very important in terms of maintaining peace in the world. India's role in this is going to be very special. There is a preparation to make a formula in India to stop the war that has been going on for more than a month between Russia-Ukraine. The sudden visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to India is an important step in this direction. Lavrov will come to Delhi this week, but the date is not fixed. However, his visit will certainly take place just before the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. Naftali is reaching India on 2nd April.

 

After talks with the Russian Foreign Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with Naftali. After the end of Naftali's visit, Modi will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Naftali, on the other hand, will do the same. This is likely to pave the way for peace between Russia and Ukraine.

 

India has been advocating for a ceasefire in the international arena. For this, India did not participate in voting on two resolutions in the United Nations on the same day. One proposal was in favor of Ukraine, while the other was in favor of Russia. Detailed talks on the formula for peace are also going on between Russia-Ukraine. The role of India and Israel is to resolve the important aspects of the differences. On March 25, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland also came to India for the same purpose.

 

Why is the role of India-Israel important?

 

India has good relations with Russia. Similarly, India is also close to America standing behind Ukraine. In the current global situation, both Russia and America need India, so India's role in resolving the dispute becomes important.

 

The US is keen on India's stake in the Quad. At the same time, in BRICS, Putin wants to stand with Modi and Xi Jinping and show the solidarity of Russia, China, and India to the whole world.

 

America is Israel's closest friend. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky is Jewish, which is important to Israel. Naftali is therefore already taking the mediation initiative.

 

India is already making efforts to end the war in Ukraine.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held two lengthy telephonic conversations with Putin and Zelensky in the last month.

 

French President Emmanuel Macron has also held lengthy talks with Putin and Zelensky several times. During this long talks have also taken place between Macron and Modi. The purpose of these efforts was to stop the war. America also wants India and Israel to prepare a formula to stop the war.
