
There has been a suicide blast in Pakistan's capital Islamabad. According to officials, the blast took place in the I-10/4 sector, in which a policeman was killed. At the same time, six people including four fellow policemen were injured.
The explosion took place when a taxi was stopped by the police during routine checking, officials said. As soon as the taxi reached them, it exploded. Rescue operations are on at the spot and the matter is being probed, officials said.
Giving information, Islamabad Police's DIG Sohail Zafar Chatha said, at 10.15 am, the police saw a vehicle near the I-10/4 sector, in which a man and a woman were traveling. Police stopped the car after finding it suspicious. After this, both came out of the car. However, after some time a young man went inside the car on the pretext and blew himself up. The video of this incident has also surfaced. The vehicle is seen burning in the viral video. Police have done traffic diversion.
