Indian Railways: If you are also going to travel by train or if you want to get any information related to railways, then now you do not need to stand in long queues. A special facility has been started by the Railways, under which you can find out about any information related to the railway train or Indian Railways (railway helpline number) by just calling on one number. IRCTC has given information about this by tweeting-

Facility available in multiple languages

139 is a helpline number based on the IVRS i.e. Interactive Voice Response System of Indian Railways, in which you are given information in many languages. In this, you have to press 1 number for safety, medical help, accident information. Apart from this, if you have an inquiry related to the train, then you have to press 2 numbers for that.

3 numbers for catering facilities, 4 numbers for registering general complaints, 5 for corruption complaints, 6 for parcel and freight-related inquiries, 7 for information related to trains operated by IRCTC, 7 for registering your complaint About the latest status information, you have to press the number 9.

 

Information can also be received through SMS

Apart from this, you can also get information through SMS. On this number, passengers can also send messages to the number 139 for train-related inquiries and reservation-related inquiries like PNR status, ticket (normal and tatkal) availability, train arrival, departure.
