Controversy over Tirupati temple Prasad
It is worth noting that allegations have been made that in the previous YSRCP government of Andhra Pradesh, animal fat was used in making the Prasad of the famous Tirupati Balaji temple. The state CM Chandrababu Naidu himself has made these allegations. After which the issue has heated up across the country and there is a demand for a high-level investigation. A lot is being written about it on social media as well.
Amidst this controversy, the state's Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan wrote in a post shared on social media that 'We are all very upset about the addition of animal fat (fish oil, pork fat and beef fat) in Tirupati Balaji Prasad. The TTD board formed by the then YSRCP government will have to answer many questions. Our government is committed to taking strict action as much as possible, but, this case highlights many issues related to the insult of temples, land issues, and other religious practices.'
'Should come together to stop the insult of Sanatan Dharma'
Pawan Kalyan wrote 'Now the time has come to form a 'Sanatana Dharma Raksha Board' at the national level to consider all the issues related to temples across India. There should be a debate on this issue at the national level by all policymakers, religious heads, judiciary, citizens, media, and all other people from their respective fields. I think we should all come together to stop the insult of 'Sanatana Dharma' in any form.'
