Surendra Prasad Singh, New Delhi. The wheels of passenger trains, which were stopped from May 25 due to the nationwide lockdown, are now ready to run. The government has decided to start train services on limited routes. On Tuesday, AC special trains will run on 15 routes from New Delhi to Rajdhani Express. Vande India, Tejas, Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi connecting cities with a radius of 500 km will be the next phase. Ticket booking will start from 4 pm on Monday for special trains running from Tuesday. Tickets have to be taken online.
15 pairs of trains will operate
According to the railway, a total of 30 trains will run on 15 routes. This means a total of 15 pairs of trains will operate. After leaving New Delhi, these trains will stop at some major stations only. No food and drink will be provided on the way. The government is also considering running express trains like Shatabdi. For this, the experiences of the operation of Shramik Special trains started from May 1 are constantly being reviewed. Maintaining physical distance and behavior of passengers is also being studied. Currently an average of one thousand passengers are being accommodated in labor special trains. The idea of operating trains like Shatabdi has been started by fixing its shortcomings. It can seat 1200 passengers comfortably.
Special trains will run on these routes
New Delhi to Agartala, Dibrugarh, Howrah, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai Central, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Secunderabad, Chennai, Bilaspur, Madgaon, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi. All these stations will also run return trains to New Delhi.

- Booking will start from the IRCTC website from 4 pm today. The fare will be equal to Rajdhani Express. There will be no transaction at the station counter. Platform tickets will also not be available.
Keep these things in mind
- Must reach the station at least one hour before the journey
Only people with no symptoms will be allowed to travel
- Wearing masks will be mandatory for all passengers
- Arogya Setu app is also mandatory in everyone's mobile phone
- No concession will be available in ticket booking
- Tatkal, Premium Tatkal and current booking will not be there.
Currently, all special trains will run only with AC coaches.
- Passengers will not get the facility of blankets and sheets in the train
- AC coach temperature will also be slightly above normal
- There will be no food and drink on the way of travel
Air service also prepared
Along with trains, the government is also considering starting air services on some routes. Some domestic flights are expected to be launched from May 14.
300 more labor trains will be operated
With this, Indian Railways will start more special services on new routes based on available coaches after reserving 20,000 coaches for Corona virus care centers. Apart from this, coaches will also be reserved separately for the operation of 300 trains as labor specials.
