It has been made mandatory for all cinema halls and multiplexes in Bengal to show at least one Bengali film every day during prime time throughout the year. In this regard, the instructions have been issued by the state's Department of Information and Cultural Affairs on Wednesday.

 

Mamata issued instructions for cinema halls amid the Bengali language movement.

Prime time means from 3 pm to 9 pm. This instruction has been issued according to the Bengal Film Act 1954. The state government said that the relevant law will be amended in this regard.

 

The Mamata government has clearly stated that this instruction will come into force from the moment it is issued and will remain in force until a new instruction is issued.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Trinamool has also started a language movement. Mamata says that the people of Bengal are being oppressed because they speak the Bengali language. Many people believe that this instruction is related to that.
