Jaishankar Egypt Visit: Foreign Minister Jaishankar arrives in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and meets eminent personalities

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has arrived in Egypt. Beginning his journey, he met 'eminent personalities in the field of foreign policy. During this, he tweeted, 'Thank you for their support for our relationship and insight into regional and global politics.'

Conversation with UK Foreign Minister

Earlier, the External Affairs Minister held talks with his British counterpart James Slavery. During this, both held talks to save the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) talks from failing. Significantly, Britain is currently facing serious challenges on the economic front.

 

In conversation with the Foreign Minister of The Gambia

S Jaishankar held talks with Gambian Foreign Minister Dr. Mamadou Tangara on Thursday. During this, he expressed grief over the death of 66 children from cough syrup made in India and assured us that India is seriously investigating this matter.

 

World Health Organization issued an alert

Let us inform you, after the death of 66 children in The Gambia, the World Health Organization (WHO) blamed Indian cough syrup for the death. He had also issued an alert regarding this. At the same time, the Government of India has constituted a four-member committee under the chairmanship of Dr. YK Gupta, Vice-Chairman of the Standing National Committee on Medicines, to investigate the matter. This committee will recommend action after the investigation.
