Judiciary: President unveiled new flag and symbol for Supreme Court, said this on pending cases

President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday stressed the need to change the culture of dates in courts and make efforts to ensure speedy justice. She was addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day District Judiciary National Conference held at Bharat Mandapam. On this occasion, the President also unveiled a new flag and logo for the Supreme Court.

 

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court, the President said that pending cases in the courts are a big challenge for all of us and every effort should be made to resolve them. He also said that it is the responsibility of all the judges of the country to protect justice.

 

He said that the stress level of common people increases in the court environment, which he named Black Court Syndrome. He also suggested a study on this subject. He also expressed happiness over the increase in the number of women judicial officers.

 

Chief Justice (CJI) Justice DY Chandrachud and Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal also attended the program. President Murmu also released the flag and logo of the Supreme Court at the program held at Bharat Mandapam.
