Kochi, Jan 8 (IANS) The Kochi-based Rs.1,400-crore Synthite Group in Kerala will supply Arabic spices to Middle-East countries, an official said Thursday.
Synthite Group made its Fast Moving Consumer Goods six months back with Kitchen Treasures and will enter the Middle-East markets the next month.
"The Kolencherry unit of the company would produce Arabic spices for the Middle-East countries. We would also focus on domestic and Middle-East markets in the seasonings segment," Ashok Mani, Kitchen Treasures CEO.
Kitchen Treasures is part of the Synthite Group. It has a 42-year-long and successful history in producing spices, natural flavours, spice oleoresins, and pure and blended seasonings.
Along with the Arabic spices, the company will offer two dozen products which includes various types of curry powders, spices and other products to the Middle-East markets, including two non-vegetarian pickles.
The curry powder and spices market in the Middle-East is estimated to have a volume of Rs.200 crore, with the UAE market alone accounting for nearly half of it.
The Synthite Group is a world leader in oleoresins market with 30 percent share of the world market. It exports oleoresins to 85 countries.
