King Kohli was left behind! After Joe Root, now Steve Smith is also ahead of Virat in Fab 4

Australia's swashbuckling batsman Steve Smith has put the team in a strong position in the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle. This is Smith's 28th century in Test cricket and he has overtaken Virat Kohli in the list of highest 100 run-scorers in Fab 4. Steve Smith and Joe Root now have 28 centuries each in Fab 4, while Virat Kohli has 27 and Kane Williamson has 24 centuries. Smith is still at the crease after scoring 105 runs.

Route - 28 (121 matches)

Kohli - 27 (102 matches)

Williamson - 24 (88 matches)

 

After 18 months, this century has come out of Smith's bat, but he has still made another big record in his name. He has become the second player to score the fastest 28 centuries in Test cricket.

 

If we talk about Sri Lanka vs Australia second test match, on the first day, Australia batted and scored 292 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Alex Carey is present with Steve Smith at the crease. Apart from Smith, Marnus Labuschagne also scored a century. He hit 12 fours in his innings of 104 runs.

 

On the other hand, if we talk about Smith's innings, he has so far hit 14 fours in his innings of 105 runs. On the strength of this innings, his average in Test cricket has crossed 60. This is the best average by any batsman in Fab 4. Talking about the other three players, Root averages 50.77, while Kohli and Williamson average 49.53 and 52.63 respectively.
