English legend Michael Vaughan's advice on Virat Kohli's poor form - stay away from cricket for three months, go spend time with family

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli's bat was getting so many runs at one time that everyone considered him the greatest batsman of this generation. But Virat Kohli, who has scored more than 23000 international runs and 70 centuries, is no longer able to believe in his poor form himself. After scoring his 70th century against Bangladesh in a Day-Night Test match in Kolkata in 2019, Kohli himself could not have imagined that he would have to struggle to reach a century for a long time thereafter.

Although the reality is that Virat Kohli played many good and brilliant innings during this period since 2019. But now for some time, such innings stopped coming from his bat. The last season of IPL was one of the worst seasons of his career. In IPL 2022, he did not appear in the form. Even in international cricket, Kohli's bat is calm. The wait continues for Kohli's 71st international century with scores of 11 and 20 in the rescheduled fifth Test at Edgbaston.

After the IPL, Kohli also took a break from cricket for a few days. But maybe that was not enough and once again there is talk of him taking a break from cricket. Seeing his struggle, former England captain Michael Vaughan has said that Kohli should stay away from the limelight, take a three-month break from cricket and spend time with his family.

Vaughan said, "I especially look at Virat. I knew he got some rest at the end of the IPL. But looking at him, I think he needs rest. Looks like he has three days off from cricket. Must be months away. Go and sit on the beach."

He said, "Go and do what you can with your family. Is this going to affect him by taking a three-month break? No. Will it help him? Yes.''

Vaughan also expressed his displeasure over the schedule of the upcoming ODI and T20I series between India and England. Both the teams will play three matches each in both the series and the former England captain said that it will be impossible for players from all formats to perform.
