Former Indian captain Virat Kohli's bat was getting so many runs at one time that everyone considered him the greatest batsman of this generation. Vaughan said, "I especially look at Virat. I knew he got some rest at the end of the IPL. But looking at him, I think he needs rest. Looks like he has three days off from cricket. Must be months away. Go and sit on the beach."
He said, "Go and do what you can with your family. Is this going to affect him by taking a three-month break? No. Will it help him? Yes.''
Vaughan also expressed his displeasure over the schedule of the upcoming ODI and T20I series between India and England. Both the teams will play three matches each in both the series and the former England captain said that it will be impossible for players from all formats to perform.
