Protest held at Times Square, New York
A sit-in protest was organized at Times Square, New York on the night of August 14 in protest against the Kolkata incident. During this, about 40 people gathered and expressed their support for the students and doctors protesting in Bengal. Protesters also gathered at Lake Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, America, and protested against the Kolkata incident. During this, about 250 people of Indian origin gathered and they were holding placards and banners in their hands.
Similarly, the Indian community living in Houston also expressed their protest against the RG Kar Medical College incident. The protesters called the rape and murder of a female doctor on duty in a medical college a failure of the system and demanded strict action. People of the Bengali community in Chicago organized a protest on Thursday. People also protested in Atlanta regarding the Kolkata incident.

People of Indian origin also gathered in Cologne, Germany, and expressed their anger over the rape and murder of the doctor. In Leeds, Britain, people also protested on 14 August by doing the RG Kar Medical College incident. During this, people said that they were sad and angry about the incident. During this, people tied black bands on their arms as a protest and observed a minute's silence in memory of the victim. Along with Leeds, people also took out a candle march in Manchester. People also protested in Trinity Church in London, Princess Street in Edinburgh, Krakow in Poland, and Austin in Canada.
