About an hour later, the bodies of both the sisters were found hanging from a Khair tree in a field in the same village. The body of the elder sister was above, while the body of the younger sister was hanging below. The knees of the younger sister were resting on the ground. The elder sister studied in high school and the younger one in the eighth grade.
In the case of the death of two sisters, the police disclosed this by holding a press conference on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Suman said that after the rape, a total of six people carried out the murder. Six accused including the nominated Chotu have been arrested.
The accused have been identified as Chhotu, Suhail, Junaid, Hafeezullah, Karimuddin, and Arif. Police have arrested one accused Junaid after an encounter in the Jhandi Chowki area, Junaid is shot in the leg. Post-mortem of both the girls was done. Police have registered a case under POCSO and related sections. According to the information, the police have taken all four accused into custody.
