Tension escalates again on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, three Pakistani soldiers killed in the attack

Tension has increased once again on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Afghan and Pakistani officials on Wednesday blamed each other for overnight clashes along the border. There were casualties on both sides of the clash.

The Taliban said in a statement on Wednesday that Afghan officials tried to stop Pakistani forces from building a checkpoint near the border in the Dand-e-Patan district of East Pakhtia province, but Pakistani forces opened fire.

 

Attack in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

 

The Pakistani military said in a statement that three soldiers were killed in firing by terrorists from across the Afghan border in the country's northwest on Tuesday night. The attack took place at a border security post in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

 

The Pakistani army tried to build a post without approval

 

Taliban government deputy spokesman Bilal Karimi said there was mutual understanding that no military installation could be built near the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, but that the Pakistani army tried to build a post.

 

Both the countries keep on accusing each other

 

Karimi said that some people approached him to talk and discuss the matter when suddenly the Pakistani army opened fire. Karimi said the issue was being investigated. Taliban leaders have been informed. Both Pakistan and Afghanistan accuse each other of harboring their opponents, which both sides deny.

 

Grenade attack on the police station, seven injured
