Landslide in Malaysia, 9 people killed: 5-year-old child among the dead; 25 people missing, rescue operation continues

A landslide occurred in the Selangor area of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. So far 9 people have died in this. 25 people are being told missing. According to the Fire and Rescue Department, 23 people have been pulled out safely from the debris. A search and rescue operation is going on.

 

According to the news agency AP, a 5-year-old child and a woman are among those killed. Seven other people have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. More than 51 people are still buried under the debris. About 400 policemen have been deployed to find them.

The area where this incident took place is a picnic spot. More than 90 people were present here. The official said- Rocks fell on the road from a height of 30 meters i.e. 98 feet and spread over an area of 1.2 hectares.
