Lockdown 4.0: PM Modi's address to the nation, lockdown will continue after May 17 with new rules

New Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation today has indicated the fourth phase of lockdown. He said that the rules will be changed in the fourth phase. Suggestions have also been sought from states for this. The Prime Minister said that before May 18, the country will be informed about the new rules.

 

PM Modi said that information of the fourth phase of lockdown will be shared before May 18, along with that he said that this lockdown will be a new look and feel. Explain that the lockdown 3.0 applicable in the country is ending on May 17. PM Modi said that the lockdown 4.0 will be a new look, with new rules. Information related to the suggestions we are getting from the states will be given to you before 18 May.

 

PM Modi has announced an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore to deal with the Corona disaster, which is 10 percent of India's GDP. This amount is a combination of previous and today's package.

 

The PM said that detailed information about this package will be given later. He said that this economic package is for that laborer of the country, for that farmer of the country who is working day and night for the countrymen in every situation, every season. This economic package is for the middle class of our country, which pays taxes honestly, contributes to the development of the country.

 

We have to avoid corona and also move forward

 

PM Modi said that we have to avoid corona and also move forward. He said that such a big disaster has brought a message and an opportunity for India. He said that I want to say with an example that when the Corona crisis started, there was not a single PPE kit made in India nor the N95 mask was produced. But today the situation is that 2 lakh PPE and 2 lakh N-95 masks are being made in India every day. We are able to do this because we have turned disaster into opportunity.

 

Don't get tired, don't lose, don't break: PM

 

In his address, the PM said that this crisis is unprecedented, but it is not acceptable for humans to be tired, lost, broken, shattered. Being vigilant, following all the rules of such war, we have to avoid it and also move forward. The Prime Minister expressed grief over the deaths of Covid-19 patients in the country and the world and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

 

 PM's 'Address to the Fourth Nation'

 

Let us know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the country for the fourth time in the last two months. Amidst the Corona crisis, PM Modi first addressed the country on 18 March. In that address, he appealed to the people not to leave the houses following the 'Janata Curfew' from 9 am to 9 pm on 22 March. Then, in a second address on 24 March, PM Modi announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown. The PM had addressed the countrymen for the third time on 14 April in which he announced to extend the lockdown to 3 May. However, the government later extended the period of 3 May to 17 May and India entered the third phase of the lockdown. During Tuesday's 'Address to the Nation', PM Modi also announced the fourth phase of the lockdown.
