Terrorist hideout destroyed in Doda, weapons, and explosives recovered

Earlier, security forces on Friday destroyed a terrorist hideout and recovered arms and explosives in the Gandoh area of the Doda district. The recovered weapons include one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), one UBGL grenade, one RPG shell, 25 electronic detonators, and two UBGLs. The police have registered a case.

According to the police, on Friday, the army and the police team were conducting a joint search operation in the forests of Gandoh. During this, they found an old hideout of terrorists in the Khasodi Chansar forest. It was built underground. The security forces have recovered rusted weapons and explosive material from there.

It is noteworthy that the area from where arms and explosives have been recovered has been heavily terror-affected in the past. The forest here is also very dense. The police believe that when militancy was at its peak in the Doda district, the weapons must have been hidden here. At present, the police are investigating the matter by registering a case.
