The Uddhav faction has once again reached the Supreme Court regarding the battle of authority over Shiv Sena. Now the Uddhav Thackeray faction has demanded a stay on the action of the Election Commission. The Election Commission has given time till August 8 to both the factions (Shinde and Uddhav) regarding the authority over Shiv Sena. Both the factions have been asked to prove their claim.

The Uddhav faction has filed a petition in the Supreme Court saying that as long as the issue of disqualification of the MLAs of the Shinde faction is pending in the court, the Election Commission cannot take any decision on it. Therefore, the Election Commission should be directed to stop its action.
