New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) A delegation of Mahila Congress workers on Friday met former prime minister Manmohan Singh to convey their solidarity with him, days after he was summoned by a Delhi court in a case relating to the allocation of coal blocks.
Mahila Congress chief Shobha Oza told IANS: "We told him (Singh) that we are with him. His integrity is without doubt. The entire country is confident about his uprightness."
Oza, who led the delegation, was accompanied by other office bearers of the Mahila Congress.
The delegation met Singh a day after Congress president and the party's top leadership expressed their solidarity with him.
The former prime minister expressed his gratitude to the Mahila Congress over its support and said he will fight lawfully for justice.
