The crop year of 2021-22 is between July 2021 to June 2022.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, during 2020-21, the production of food grains in the country was 310.7 million tonnes. According to the data, wheat production was 109 million tonnes in 2020-21. Rice production during 2021-22 is estimated to be 13.02 million tonnes. In the previous year, it was 124 million tonnes.
